The Classics Library
The Classics Library is a hub for classics teachers and academics across the UK. It hosts thousands of freely shared resources, promotes events, and provides a supportive community where teachers can ask for advice and share ideas. Their news page is a useful place to find out about new resources and opportunities for KS3 and beyond.
Priam
Historian and former teacher, Eugenia Russell, created this an Ancient History Hub and Knowledge base. You can find teaching resources, and explore a catalogue of images, texts and archaeological finds for teaching Ancient History.
BBC Bitesize KS3
BBC Bitesize offers free resources on the Romans at KS3 level, covering the Roman Empire and its legacy. Includes video clips, activities, and reading materials, making it a useful accessible starting point for pupils new to the classical world.
Ancient Worlds
Peter Wright, Anna McOmish, and Alastair Thorley have created a suite of free downloadable resources on topics from the ancient world, suitable for enrichment sessions, home-schooling, or improving general background knowledge. Resources can be used as standalone courses or to supplement knowledge at GCSE and beyond.
Historical Association
The Historical Association has produced a series of podcasts and accompanying scheme of work providing an introduction to key rituals of Ancient Greek religion. The podcasts are narrated by Simon Brown and written by leading academics from universities including Oxford, Bristol, and King's College London.
British Museum
The British Museum's dedicated KS3 programme covers ancient Rome and ancient Greece for ages 11–14. Free downloadable resources, presentations, and workshops are available, exploring topics including Roman city life, ancient Greek society and culture, and the evidence objects provide about the ancient world.

Ashmolean Museum
The Ashmolean at the University of Oxford offers free curriculum-linked learning resources based on its world-class collections, including dedicated sections on Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, and Ancient Rome. Each includes teachers' notes, pupil activity sheets, zoomable images, and short films.
Panoply Vase Animations
A unique collection of animations based on original ancient Greek vases, organised by topic including myth, warfare, sport, and daily life. A visually engaging resource for exploring ancient Greek culture, well suited to enrichment sessions at KS3.

Colchester Museums
Based in Britain's first Roman city, Colchester Museums offers free downloadable resources and sessions on Roman Britain suitable for KS3, including materials on Roman towns, religion, entertainment, and Boudica.
English Heritage - Roman Britain
A comprehensive hub covering all aspects of Roman Britain, from the invasion and Hadrian's Wall to daily life, religion, and roads. Includes in-depth articles, podcasts, and links to Roman sites across England.
Vindolanda Trust
Home of the Vindolanda tablets, the oldest surviving handwritten documents in Britain. Free downloadable activity sheets, crafts, and Junior Blogs on topics including Roman pottery, writing tablets, and life on Hadrian's Wall — suitable for enrichment use at KS3
The Roman Baths at Bath
A free collection of activities and resources from one of Britain's most famous Roman sites. Includes fun facts, object exploration, science and maths activities, crafts, art club videos, and online games. A great way to bring Roman Britain to life for enrichment sessions at KS3
Wroxeter Roman City
One of the largest Roman towns in Roman Britain, located in Shropshire just outside the West Midlands region. A free downloadable Teachers' Kit is available, alongside video resources and curriculum-linked activities on Roman Britain and Romanisation.
Warwick Classics Network
A comprehensive suite of free KS3 teaching packs from the Warwick Classics Network, with strong regional relevance. Topics include Prehistoric Britain, the Roman invasion, Boudica, the Roman Army, Lunt Roman Fort in Coventry, and diversity in Roman Britain. Each pack includes a PowerPoint, teacher notes, and handouts.
Classics for All North KS3 Taster Sessions
A collection of free, fully resourced KS3 taster sessions produced by Classics for All North. Topics include Greek Theatre, Latin, Linear B, and Sparta, each with a lesson plan, worksheets, and PowerPoint ready to download and use. Ideal for a first classics club session or enrichment activity with no prior knowledge required.
