ATHENA’S OWLS

Athena’s Owls is a series of free Saturday workshops for children (6+) and their families blending storytelling inspired by myths from Ancient Rome, Greece, and Egypt, with practical and creative activities. The event is held at Cotteridge Park and will be running from 2-4pm on:

  • 2nd May
  • 6th June
  • 4th July

20th June: Teachers’ Day at the University of Birmingham

Classics for All West Midlands is hosting its annual Teachers' Day at the University of Birmingham on Saturday 20th June, 10:00–15:45. The day offers advice and guidance for those teaching ancient world topics as part of the history curriculum, as well as information on the resources and support offered by Classics for All. Teachers from all key stages are very welcome to attend, whether you teach KS4–KS5 and are considering classics as a club or enrichment option, or are a home educator looking for new resources. Express your interest here. 

2nd July: BMCA Sixth Form Conference

The Annual BMCA (Birmingham and Midlands Classical Association) Sixth Form Conference will be running on the 2nd of July this year, held at King Edward’s School, Birmingham. Make sure to sign up if you have not already done so!
