The Team

Hebe began studying Classical Civilisation at aged 13 and has continued ever since. After completing an Ancient History degree and a Secondary Latin and Classics PGCE at the University of Sussex, she returned to Birmingham to pursue a Masters in Ancient History and is currently working towards her PhD part time.

Since taking over as Network Co-ordinator in 2022, Hebe has combined her love of teaching and Classics through running events, CPD sessions, and outreach across Birmingham, the West Midlands, and Warwickshire.

Dr Elena Theodorakopoulos is a Senior Lecturer in Classics at the University of Birmingham. She specialises in Roman poetry of the Republic and Principate, and the reception of classical culture and literature in contemporary film and literature. 

Elena has supported the work of Classics for All for many years, and she is the chair of the trustees of the Primary Latin Project.
