
Hebe began studying Classical Civilisation at the age of 13 and has continued ever since. After completing an Ancient History degree and a Secondary Latin and Classics PGCE at the University of Sussex, she returned to Birmingham to pursue a Master's in Ancient History and is currently working towards her PhD part time.
Since taking over as Network Co-ordinator in 2022, Hebe has combined her love of teaching and Classics through running events, CPD sessions, and outreach across Birmingham, the West Midlands, and Warwickshire.

Dr Daniel Reynolds is a Senior Lecturer in Byzantine History at the University of Birmingham. His research focuses on the social and economic history of the Byzantium in the period c.300-c.1100, with particular interest in Byzantine and early Islamic Syria, Israel/Palestine and Jordan, and southern Italy. His main interest is in the history and archaeology of the Christian communities of these regions in the early Middle Ages.
Dan took over as the Academic Lead at the beginning of the 2026-2027 academic year.
